M. H. Clark, Acting Treasurer: Pay over to Assistant Paymaster Wheless, in addition to the sun of $1,500, called for to pay Naval officers, etc., three hundred dollars in silver, to be paid to First Lieutenant Bradford, of the Marine Corps, taking receipt and retaining this.
