be fulfilled: "Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty; thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground; I will lay thee before kings that they may behold thee. Thou hast defiled thy sanctuaries by the multitude of thine iniquities, by the iniquity of thy traffic; therefore will I bring forth a fire from the midst of thee, it shall devour thee, and I will bring thee to ashes upon the earth, in the sight of all them that behold thee. All they that know thee among the people shall be astonished at thee; thou shalt be a terror, and never shalt thou be any more." (Ezek. xxviii. 17-19.)

THE TABERNACLE AND HOLY HILL.
"Lord who shalt abide in Thy tabernacle? who shail dwell in Thy holy hill?"—Psalm xv. 1.
IN the Holy Word, the term Tabernacle is frequently mentioned in reference to the Lord Himself; and in this passage it denotes the holy principle of Divine love and goodness existing in the Lord. For it is in these that the Lord dwells, as He also does in every human heart where these loves have their supreme abode; as it is written, "Thus saith the High and Holy One that inhabiteth eternity, Whose name is holy, I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit; to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." By which is meant that the Lord abides in both degrees of love and wisdom, namely:
