ధ్వ

ధ్వంసము dhwamsamu, s. Loss, destruction, extinction. ధ్వంసముచేయు dhwamsamuchéyu, v. a. To destroy, to ravage, to desolate, to annihilate.

ధ్వజము dhwajamu, s. A flag, or banner. ధ్వజద్రుమము dhwajadrumamu, The palm tree.

ధ్వని dhwani, s. Sound, noise, report, voice. ప్రతిధ్వని pratidhwani, An echo.

నంగు nangu, v. n. To speak through the nose. నంగిమాట nangimáta, A nasal sound; a word pronounced through the nose.

నంజ nanja, s. Irrigated ground; land cultivated by artificial irrigation, and producing what is technically termed the wet crop.

నంజు nandzu, v. a. To eat, from dis gust, a very little at a time. నంజుకొను nandzukonu, To eat a litte of any thing, like pickle, &c. As a relish to the principal food.

నంజు nandzu, s. A lingering, or dormant, disease. నంజుపారు nandzupáru, To grow pale; to swell.

నంజుడు nandzudu, s. Flesh-meat,

నండ్రకాయ nandrakaya, s. A crab.

నందనుడు nandanudu, s. A son.

నంబివాడు nambivádu, s. A priest in the temples of Vishnu; his caste is traced to the descendant of a chatriya female, by a brahman.

నకలు nakalu, s. A copy. నకలు-వ్రాయు, చేయు nakalu-vráyu, cheyu. To copy. నకలుచేయించు nakaluchéyintsu, To get copied.

నకారపొల్లు nakarapollu, s. The sign of n final; viz. xxx.

నకిషీపని nakishípani, s. Work in enamel.

నక్క, కొంకనక్క nakka, konkanakka, s. A jackall. గుంటనక్క guntanakka, A fox. నక్కజిత్తు nakkajittu, Deceit, trick.

నక్కిళ్లు nakkillu, s. plu. The joints, of the jaws.

నక్కు nakku, s. A lump or mass of iron. 2. A notch made in trees, to try their fitness for being cut. v. n. To hide, or conceal one's-self. 2. To crouch down. 3. To lie in wait.

నఖము, నఖరము nakhamu, nakharamu, s. A nail, or claw. A cat. 2. A lion.
