పన్ను pannu, 5. A tax. 2. Rent-

పన్నుగా pannuga, adv. Properly. nicely, neatly ; in good order.

పన్నె Panne, s - ^ n instrument used by weavers.

పన్నెండు pannendu, adj. Numeral. Twelve.

పప్ప PaPPa, s - ^ cake.

పప్పు pappu,.s. Split pulse of any kind; split almonds, <fcc.

పబ్బము pabbamu, s. Particular pe- riods of the year, such as the equinoxes &c, When offerings are made by the Hindoos to the manes of their ancestors.

పముజులకమ్మలు pamudzulakammalu, $. plu. A large kind of ear-rings, worn by Hindoo females.

పయర payara, s. A southern wind. 2. A cool breeze. పయరపంట payara- panta, s. Pulse, or other crops, to the 'growth of which a stroDg wind is favorable.

పయి, పయిన payi, payina, acfa- On the top, upon, over, above. 2. Upon, against. 3. In future, hereafter, పయికొను payikonu, To advance against another in battle. .

పయిగస్తీ payigasti, s. A person placed over a patrole to controul it. vide గస్తీ gasti.

పయికము payikamu, s. Money, cash, treasure. 2. Wealth, property. 3. A coin of the value of five cash.

పయిజార్లు payidzarlu, s. plu. Shoes.

పయిట payita, s. That part of the garmeat of a Hindoo female which c3vers the breast.

పయిడి payidi, s. Gold. పయిడిముడుచు payilimudutsu, To betroth- lit. To tie gold. పయిడిముడుపు payiclimudupu, Affiance.

పయిడి-కంటి, కంటె payidi-kanti, kante, s. A certain bird, the notes of which are considered ominous.

పయినము payinamu, s. A journey ; departing or setting out from any place.

పయిరు payiru, 5. vide పైరు pairu.

పయెంట payenta, s. vide పయిట payita.

పయ్యెర payyera, s. vide పయర payara.

పరక paraka, s. The fraction one- eighth, or two-sixteenths. 2. Gold of two grains weight. 3. The 128th part of a pagoda- 4. The cream on curds.

పరఖావణి parakhavani, s. Shroffing, or examining money by sight.

పరగడ paragada, s. A field oatside of a village. 2. Another's possession.

పరగడగా paragadag£, adtf. By means of another.

పరగడుపు paragadupu, s. The state of the stomach before a person has broken his fast. An empty., or fasting stomach.
