ఆజ్ఞ-Ajna

ఆగుబ్బతిలు agubbatilu, 9. n. To be elated. ఆగుబ్బు agubbu, Elevation, wonder.

ఆగ్నేయదిక్కు agneyadikku, s. The south east point, of which the god of fire is regent.

ఆగ్నేయాస్త్రము agneyastramu, s A weapon of fire,

ఆగ్రహము a>rahamu, 5. Anger, choler, rage, wrath. 2. Trouble, annoy- ance. ఆగ్రహించు agrahintsu, To be angry or inraged.

ఆఘాత్యము aghatyauiu, s. vide ఆగాత్యము agatyarnu.

ఆచంద్రార్కము achandrarkamu,a^. During the existence of the sun and moon ; as long as the world exists ; for ever.

ఆచక్కి atsakki, adv. On that side.

ఆచమనము achamanamu, s. The sipping of water three times, before religious ceremonies, or meals ; or after meals or the necessities of nature; repeating at the same time the 24 principal names of Vishnoo.

ఆచారము acharamu, s- An established rule of conduct. 2. A religious institute, or observance. 3. The rules of moral conduct among a people, or nation. 4. The practice, customs, habits, usages, or laws of a country, or of any particular class of men.

ఆచరించు acharintsu',e a. To practise, or do habitually. 2. To put in practice the precepts of religion. 3.To celebrate a religious festival!

ఆచార్యుడు acharyudu, s. A teacher or instructor of the Vedas. 2. A' spiritual guide. 3. A person who invests one with the sacrificial thread.

ఆచు atsii, v. a. To stop, to hinder, to prevent, to whithhold. 2. To support, to protect. 3. To preserve or watch fields, gardens &c. నోరాచిమాట్లాడు norachimatladu,To speak considerately or cautiously, vide ఆగు agu.

ఆచూకీ atsiiki, s. A trace, token, or hint. 2. A cause.

ఆజానుబాహుడు ajanubahudu, s. A man whose hands reach to his knees. A person of this description is considered not only handsome, but destined to be a hero.

ఆజీలు ajilu, adj. Ready, present.

ఆజ్ఞ ajna, s. An order, a command. 2. Permission, 3. Punishment. 4. Custody. ఆజ్ఞ యిచ్చు ajnayitstsu, To give an order. ఆజ్ఞతోసివేయు ajna- tosiveyu, To disobey an order ఆజ్ఞ చేయు ajnacheyu, To punish,
