చదివినవాడు vadu vmikante yeda- kulu ega tsadivinavadii. lit. That man has read seven leaves more than this man. That man is seven times worse than this man.

ఏడుగడ edugada, s. Protection, refuge. 2. Interest. 3- Quarter in battle.

ఏడుచు edutsu, v. n. To cry, to weep. ఏడిపించు edipintsu, v. . Cans To cause to cry or weep. ఏడుపు edupu, Weeping.

ఏడూడి ediidi, s. A ceremony performed by the Hindoos, for the de- ceased, after the expiration of one year from his death.

ఏడో edo, Ordinal number, vide &&$ edava.

ఏడ్తెఱ edterr% s. Excess. 2. Perseverance.

ఏతము, ఏతాము etamu, etamn, s. An engine, on the principle of the lever, for drawing up water. It is usually termed the picotah at Madras. ఏతాముబొక్కెన etamubokkena, The leathern vessel, in which water is thus drawn.

ఏతెంచు etentsu, v. n. To come. g. To arrive.

ఏత్వము etwamu, 5. The name of the connected vowel "^ e.

ఏదాలాబము, ఏదాలాభము edalabamu edalabhamu, s. Inattention. This is a vulgarism for యధాలాభము yadhalabhamu.

ఏది edi, pro. Interrogative, sing. Fern, and neuter. Who % Which ? ఏదైనా edaina. Any thing. ఏదిన్నీ లేదు edinnlledu, Nothing. ఏదొక edoka, Any.

ఏదు edu, v. a. To cherish; to protect.

ఏదు, ఏదుపంది edu, edupandi, s. The porcupine, lit. The hog which pro- tects itself. ఏదుముల్లు edumullu, A porcupine's quill.

ఏనాదివారు enadivaru, s. pi. A cast of savage people, residing in forests.

ఏనాళ్లు enallu, s. The usual presents sent by the parents of the bride and bridegroom, respectively, to their son and daughter in law, after the whole ceremonies of the marriage are completed.

ఏని enf, Particle. It is added in the superior dialect to the first forms of the several affirmative tenses, to express condition or contingency. వచ్చె నేని vachcheneni, Suppose he come. వాడుపాము పట్టెనేని vadupamu patteneai, Suppose he catch the snake.
