Thus when the eye is busied to explore
The rich diversity of Flora’s store,
Delighted her invention to persue,
The beauteous form, the fine contrasted hue,
At length it finds the gay parterre too bright,
The flood of glory wounds the tender sight;
It turns aside from the luxurious scene,
And seeks refreshment on the sober green.
