AMYNTAS.
47
Each evening Phœbus quits the sky, and laves
His golden tresses in the western waves:
He sets to beam again with orient ray,
With new-born vigour to restore the day:
But at the fatal close of life's career,
We leave for ever the terrestrial sphere;
Sink to a dark irremeable shoar;
We set on Styxis strand, and rise no more.

End of the First Act.
