mind. Help us to leave all care, anxiety, and solicitude, to Thy divine providence, and to remember Thy words, "Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof." As Thou hast graciously permitted us to call Thee by the endearing name of Father, help us that we may confide in Thee as children. May Thy truth impress us, that if Thou Lord be for us, there are none who can have, power against us. In Thee, O Lord, we trust; suffer us not to be ashamed. Amen.

FRIDAY EVENING.
O LORD God our Saviour, we bless and praise Thy holy name for all the good affections Thou hast bestowed upon us, and for the delights which attend their use. We thank Thee for the noble powers of intellect which Thou hast endowed us with, and for the recreation and instruction afforded in their exercise. But above all do we desire to magnify Thee that Thou hast so created us as to become prepared to receive Thy holy influences in the inmost of our affections and thoughts and thus in the inmost of our souls filling us with pure desires, holy thoughts, and devout aspirations, and giving to us the assurance that as Thou livest we ahall live also.
That our enjoyments may be multiplied, and that they may be more enduring, Thou hast so constituted us, that a succession of changes becomes necessary to existence, and to the enjoyment of all our powers; and with all these vicissitudes, and under all these changes, Thou so orderest all our affairs, that they are working out continually our present good, and conducing to our future heppiness.
Whether we are in states of difficulty or prosperity, of doubt or of certainty, of obscurity or of clearness, of health or sickness; still would we ascribe unto Thee the thanksgivings which are Thy due. Still would our souls and all that is within us bless Thy holy name. Amen.

SATURDAY MORNING.
ETERNAL, omnipotent, and omniscient Lord God our Saviour. Thou art the giver of every good and perfect gift. Thou art the author of eternal life, and Thou only canst enable us to become partakers of its blessedness.
We approach Thee this morning deeply impressed with Thy divine goodness towards us, and feeling assured that no good thing wilt Thou withhold from them that put their trust in Thee. We yield Thee most humble and hearty thanks that Thy providence hath protected us from many dangers that we know not of; and those that have been perceived by us have been averted by the most signal deliverance. Another day has dawned upon us, and the comfort and conveniences of bodily existence are continued unto us. O Lord, we desire to glorify Thee that Thy mercies fail not, thet they are ever new, that they have followed us all the days of our lives.
May Thy divine presence be now felt among us, and grant that Thy love and fear may rule in our minds, so that we may be preserved from
