Assist us, O merciful Father, to acquire a meek and lowly spirit, that Thy love and truth may freely flow into and bless our souls this day. From our family temple, we go to join in the services of the temple where Thy people congregate. Lord, meet us there. Cheer us by Thy presence. Let Thy presence be felt by every humble worshipper, and let Thy salvation go ofrth as brightness, to cheer the hearts of Thy waiting servants. Amen.

Our Father, etc.

SABBATH EVENING. FATHER of moroy. God of all consolation, we approach Thy footstool at the conclusion of this Thy day of rest. We praise Thee, we give Thee thanks for the gracions privileges we have been permitted to participate in, and we implore Thy divine blessing upon all that we have heard or read this day. At the same time we implore Thy gracious pardon for ali Thon hast seen amiss in us. We are constrained to acknowledge that our thoughts have often wandered from our duty, and our minds have ocoupied themsalves too intently upon the world; even those duties that we have performed most worthily have been grievouely tinctured by selfish and worldly thoughts. O deliver us from this sad tendency of our evil nature, © help us to serve Thee with greater spirituality.

© Thon who art the Light of the world, send forth 'hy light among us, and so assist us to prepare our minds for its reception, that it may at once enter in and possess us. By the light of Thy truth may we discern our real nature and quality. May no evil escape our search; may Thy trath discover our secret faults, and impart the power to remove them. Asaist us in the proper use and application of Thy light; may it prove a

Jamp to our feet, preventing all occasion of stumbling in us. Amen.

We confess our utter inability to worship Thee as we ought and as is our duty. No man can come to Thee except as Thy love shall attract him. O Lord we acknowledge our hearts are prone to evil, and our desires wander out into the world in search of its delights and it's pleasures. "Create within us a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within us, and lead us in the way everlasting."

Give unto us a spirit of true repentance, that we may forsake our evils, and be brought into a state of humility and lowly-mindedness. O render us more and more sensible of the folly and guilt of sin, and give unto us a perception of the peace, joy, and spirituality which those enjoy who are obedient to Thy Word. In entering upon the duties of another week, may the services of the past Sabbath be kept in our remembrance: may the solemn warnings and exhortations we have
