PASSIVE VOICE. Indicative. Subjunctive.

PRESENT. The dog is beaten. The doy may be beaten.

狗打了 狗許被打

dog beat ed. dog may suffer beat,

狗挨打了 狗或者要打

dog suffer beat ed. dog perhaps will beat.

狗呌人打了 狗許呌人打

dog cause man beat ed. dog may cause man beat.

狗被打了 狗許呌人家打

dog suffer beat ed. dog may cause person beat.

狗受打了 狗許挨打

dog receive beat ed. dog may suffer beat.

人家也許打狗

person also may beat dog.


  • Rarely used in this connection, but in such a sentence as j&

down to read, or, sitting down to look, it would be quite correct. t Rarely used with the verb to beat.
