Ch.), 8 June 1703, being then aged 19. He was Envoy to Genoa, 1708-12 ; M.P. for Stafford, 1715-22 ; for Plymouth, 1722-27, and for Stafford (again), 1734-70. Commissioner of the Admiralty, 1717-27. Master of the Mint, 1727-69. He m. (settl. dat. 3 June 1715) Honora, da. of William Baker, Consul at Algiers, by Deborah, da. of Sir Leonard Robinson, Chamberlain of London. She d. 5 Sep. 1726. He d. 3 April 1770, aged 86, and was bur. at Ashley, co. Staflbrd. Will, &c. dat. 22 April 1762 to 20 April 1769, pr. 7 April 1770. IV. 1770. William (Chetwynd), Viscount Chetwynd of Bearhaven, &c. Took his seat in the House of Lords [I.], 14 Oct. 1773. Was granted an annual pension of £400, on June, 1782. Ho m., 19 Nov. 1751, Susannah, yst. da. of Sir Jonathan Cope, 1st Bart, of Breiverne, by Mary, da. of Sir llobert Jenkinson, Bart. She d. 3 March 1790. Han. gq., Mary, da. of Uobert Moss, niece of Charles Moss, Bishop of Oxford. She d. 5 Nov. 1857. Admon. Dec. 1857. He m., secondly, 24 Sep. 1861, at Withecombe Rawloigh, Devon, Mary, da. of John Hussey, sometime Recorder of Lyme Regis, Dorset. He d. 6 Dec. 1879, in his 79th year at his residence, Marpool, near Exmouth. His widow living 1887. VII. 1879. 7.
