Com. of the East Kent militia ; sometime, also, State Steward to the Lord Lieut, of Ireland ; Equerry to the Queen, 1S70 to 1873, when he was made an extra Equerry. Vice- Admiral of the coast of Ulster. He m. 17 June 1854, at the Chapel Royal, Whitehall, Jane St. Maur Blanche, only da. and h. of Charles (Stanhope}, 4th Earl ok Harrington, by Maria, da. of Snrauei Footk, of Exeter. He (I. at Helgrave Sq., Midx., 2 June 18S2. Will pr. 15 Aug. 18S2, under £118,000. His widow, who was 6. 14 May 1833, living 1888- Marquessate [I.] IV. 1 Earldom, and Viscountcy [I.] V. Barony [I.] VI. H882 4 and 6. Henry Francis (Conyngham), Marquess Conyngham [1816], Earl Conyngham [1797], Earl oy Mount Charles [1816], Viscount Conyngham ok Mount Charles [1789], Viscount Mount Charles [1797], Viscount Slane [1816]. Baron Conyngham ok Mount Charles [1781], in the peerage of Ireland, also Baron Minster, of Minster Abbey [U.K., 1821], s. and h., 5. in London 1 Oct, 1857 ; ed. at Eton ; Lieut. Rifle Brigade, 1879-S0 ; Scots Guards, 1880-82. He m. 21 March 1882, at All Saints, Enuismore Gardens, Midx., Francis Elizabeth, 1st da. of Dayrolles Blakeuey (Eveleigh de Moleyns), 4th Baron Ventry [I.], by Harriet Elizabeth Frances, da. of Andrew Wauchow:, of Kiddrie Marischal, Midlothian. She was b. 30 Dec. 1S62. J [Victor George Henry Francis Conyngham, styled Earl of Mount Charles, 1st s. and h. ap., b. 30 Jan. 1S83, in Charles Street, Berkeley Sq., Midx.] Family estates. — These, in 1S83, consisted of 9,737 acres in Kent, worth £17,432 a year, besides 122,300 acres in co. Donegal, worth £15,160 a year ; 27,613 inco. Clare, worth 110,808, and 7,060 in co. Meath, worth £6,670 a year. Total 166,718 neres,( a ) worth £50,076 a year. COOLAVTN.
