Han. gq. He sue. to ike. above named peerages, 17 Jan. 1851. By the death of his mother, 19 Nov. 1858, he became (also) Lord Grey de Ruthin [1324]. thus inheriting a Barony of more ancient, creation than any he had formerly held. He m., 10 July 1804, at St. Geo. Han. sq., Florence Cecilia, da. of Henry (I'aget), 2d Marquess of Anglesey, by his second wife, Henrietta Maria, da. of the Rt. lion. Sir Charles Bauot, G.C B. He tl. s.p. at 34 Grosveuor square. 10 Nov. 1868, aged 20, and was bur. the 14th at Kensal Green cemetery. By the death all his titles [E., G.B, U.K., and I.], by patent, viz., the .lforoucssatc of Hastings, the E<irldom of Efiwdou, the VixrountC'i nf Loudoun, and the Barony of liaiedon [of Rawdon], as also the Earldom of Moira and the Barnny of li'ttedon of Moira [I.] became extinct, while the Earldom of Loudoun [S.] and the other Scotch dignities devolved on his eldest sister and heir of line ; the English Baroni-s in fee falling into nbcyance between Ins sisters and eoheirsj 1 ') His will dot 17 June was pr. 20 Nov. 1808, under £90,000. His widow, who was b. Aug. 1812, m. 9 June 1870, at St. James, Westra., Sir George Chetwynd, 4th Bart., of Grendon, CO. Warwick, who was b. 31 May 1849. « • «»•••»» Barony. is. She was b. 10 Dec. 1S33, and m. 30 April 1S53, at St Geo. Han. sq., Charles Frederick Clifton, afterwards (1S5S) Auney-Hastings, who, after her death, was nr., 4 May 1SS0, BARON DONlNGTOX, of Donington Park, co. Leicester. See that title. She, on 6 Nov. 1871, became suo jure Baroness Botkeaux [1308], Baroness HtTttOKRFOBD [1420], Baroness de M'oleyns [1445], and Baroness Hastings dk Hastings [1401], the abeyance of those Baronies (to which she was heir to a fourth part) having been terminated at that date by letters patent in her favour. HASTINGS DE HUNGERFORD. i.e., " Hastings de Hungerford," Barony by writ (Hastings), cr. 14S2, in abeyance 1S68. See "Hastings de Hastings " Barony, cr. 1461, under the second holder thereof.
