Lond. 20 Dee. 1576, to many at Little Chesterford, Ksicx), Mary, widow of Richard Peyton (who </. 13 April 1574), da. of Leonard Hvnr, of Hyde Hall and Throcking, Herts. He d. at Hunsdon and waa there bur. 7 April 1617. Will da'. 31 March and pr. 16 April 1817. His widow d. at her house in St. Benets, Paul's Wharf, London, I, and was bin: 7 April 1627. at Huns Ion. Will dat. 5 May 1623, to 5 May 1625, pr. IS April 1627, by her son, Henry, Viscount Rochford. IV. 1617. J/. Henry (Carey), Baron Hunsdon, s. niul li., i sue. to the pecrmjc in April 1617. He was ci:, 6 June 1621, = -5 YISCOUNT ROCHFORD, and oil S .March 162S, was er. EARL OF -| DOVER. He was bin: 13th April 1666, at Hunsdon. V. 1610. J. John (Carey), Baron Hunsdon, p. ami h. -3 y 3j ^ ii up., who by writ 3 Nov. 1610, was sum. to Pari. v. p. in his = c ■ father's Barony of Hunsdon. lie was b. about 1608 and was ityhd — ^ Viscount Rochford from 1628 to 1666 when he sue. his father as E&RL ok Dovek, &c. He d. s.p.m. 26 May 1677, when the Earldom of Dover and Vitcmntcy of Rochford became extinct. 5 b VI. 1677. '/. Robert (Carey), Baron Hunsdon, cousin and b. male, being only P. and b. of Sir Horatio Oirey, Col. in the Army, by Petrouilla, da. of Robert Haihunoton, of Durham, which Horatio (who was living rampant " (which was that of Lady Hunsdon aa on her husband's monument) does not even appear among his quartering!!. In a vol. (marked with a star, pp. 137 — 13SJ, among Philpot's MSS. in the Coll. of Arms, Lady Hunsdon's parentage (as in the text) and her pedigree on both sides is fully set out, her father being s. and h. of William Morgan, of Arkeston, who was b. and h. of David Morgan, by Mary, da. and coheir of ( — ) Delahey, of Arkeston afsd., while her mother was da. and h. of Sir Robert Whitney (by Sibell, sister of Sir James Baskei villc), which Robert was s. and h. of James Whitney, by Blanche, da. and coheir of Simon Milborne, of Tillington, co. Hereford. This, probably, is her correct pedigree. Their grandson, George, was eft in 1679 Earl of Berkeley in whose descendant and heir general (the mojure Baroness Berkeley) is the representation of this branch of tha family of Cary as also that of Thomas (lloleynei, Earl of Wiltshire, in England, and Earl of Ormonde in Ireland.
