Cone:' There seems some confusion about " Walton Deyville," which by Banks is attributed to a family of Walton, tho' by Dugdale to a family of Deyville, i.e., that of the wife of the proceeding Baron. (') In Banks's ■•liar. Anffl. Cone." occurs the following remark. "In a note written in Dugdale's Baronage (penes auet.) it is mentioned on the authority of Cooke (Clarenceus) that he was not brother of John, but sou of Eubolo, for which it is cited that his son, Roger, died seised of Haltou in Lincolnshire, which was part of the Lade inheritance. Dugdale (p. 665) cites that this second Roger died seised of Hilton." 0 lllore's " Rutlandshire." Dugdale (to add to the confusion) mentions " Maud," his wife, as living at his death, tho' the only wife he mentions is " Joane Ingham," whose heirs were doubtless (not his issue, but) her issue by Sir Miles Stapleton. W " Cull. Top. ct Gen.," vol. vii, p. 272. ( ') There is proof in the rolls of Pari of his sitting. T
