Lincoln, by Louisa, suo jure Countess of Dysart [S.], was b. 16 Jan. 1795, at Normanton Park afsd. Ed. at Westm. School, and at Trin. Coll. Cambridge. M.P. (Whig) (") for Boston 1820-30, and 1831-32; for South Lincolnshire, 1832-41; and for Rutland, 1841-56; sue. his father 26 Mar. 1851 as 5th Bart. Lord Lieut, of co. Lincoln 1862-67. On 26 Feb. 1856, he was cr. BARON AVELAND OF AVELAND, co. Lincoln. He ;«., 8 Oct. 1827, at Drummond Castle, Muthill, co. Perth, Clementina Elizabeth Burrell-Drummond, afterwards (1871) suo jure Baroness Willoughby de Eresby (see that title). He ^. at 12 Belgrave Sq., 6, and was /Jiwr. 13 Sep. 1867, at Normanton, aged 72. Will dat. 10 Aug. 1863 to 15 Aug. 1866, pr. 5 Oct. 1867, at ;{,"400,ooo. His widow, who was b. in Piccadilly, 2, and bap. 15 Sep. 1809, at St. Geo., Han. Sq., being the elder of the two sisters of Alberic, Lord Willoughby of [j/V] Eresby, sue. on her said brother's death, 26 Aug. 1870, to the coheirship of that Barony, of which the abeyance was terminated in her favour 13 Nov. 1871. By royal lie, 4 May 1872, she took for herself and her issue the surname of Heathcote-Drummond-Willoughby. She d. 13 Nov. 1888, aged 79, at Grimsthorpe Castle, co. Lincoln, and was bur. with her husband. Will dat. 6 Aug. 1884, pr. i Apr. 1889. (") Since 1886 a Liberal Unionist. He is a staunch Free Trader, with large and varied scientific and literary attainments, which were found also in his father. V.G.
