On the occasion of the visit of the Viceroy to Hyderabad in November 1892, the Vikár was entrusted by His Highness the Nizám with the duty of meeting His Excellency and bringing him into Hyderabad. His palace of Falaknuma, a few miles out of Hyderabad, is one of great magnificence, and is one of the sights of India.
