Martha Porzizia burned.

I. IN the next year after Martha de Porzizia a woman even beyond her ſexe of an heroicke ſpirit, being examined as well by the Maſters in Colledges, as by the Judges in the Common Hall, with much boldneſſe gave an account of her faith, and upbraideth the Huſſites of folly, for that they flattered the Papiſts, the chief Magiſtrate admoniſhing her that ſhe ſhould prepare her garments againſt the time ſhe was to be laid on the pile of wood, anſwered, I have both my petticoate and mantle command me to be led away when ye pleaſe; tbe crier declaring openly that ſhe had blaſphemed, ſhe with a loud voice denied, ſaying, it is not ſo, but I am condemned for that I would not confeſsto pleaſe the Papiſts, that Chriſt was contained in the Sacrament with bones, haire, ſinews, and veins, and ſpeaking aloud to the people ſhe ſaid: Give no credit to theſe Prieſts, they are diſſembling Hypocrites, Gormandizers, Adulterers, & Sodomites.
