DEDICATION.

It was the boast of one of the most eminent of our country-men, that physicians were among the best friends and companions of his life.

While 1 would gladly see the social services of my profession at, the command of your Lordship, I trust that a long period of years may elapse before our professional services may be personally required by you: and that you may be permitted to enjoy in health and happiness the paper and gratitude, which a long, and no less brilliant, career of statesmanship has won for you, is the fervent wish of your admiring countryman, and grateful servant,

FREDERIC C. SKEY.
GROSVENOR STREET,
February, 1850.
