Town and fort in Mewar or Rajputana ; situated on the summit of a lofty rock in the angle of confluence where the Bhamani river falls into Lat. 24° 58 n., long. 75° 36 e. the Chambal. Distance (direct) from Udaipur (Oodeypore) 70 miles east-north-east; from Ujjain, 127 miles north. The rock varies from 300 to 700 feet in height above the average Bhainsror {Bhainsrorgarh, Bdnsror).
