Ruru, Raja of; Raghubir Singh Bahadur; b. 1878; succeeded to title, 1887; claims descent from Brahma, and is 124th in the line of descent; Raja Fateh Singh, one of the ancestors, joined rebels in the Mutiny of 1857, but died before he was brought to trial; the Government after confiscating the whole of his property, gave a small portion to his son. Address: Ruru, Beduna Pargana, Etawah Dt., U.P. India.

Russel, Lt.-Col. Edgar Geer, M.B., B.Sc, I.M.S., (retired); joined service, 1872; served in various places on General and Military duty; posted to Patna as Civil Surgeon, 1890; served in Darjeeling and Dacca, in the same capacity, 1892 and 1894 respectively; Professor, Medical College, Calcutta, 1896; Medical Inspector of Emigrants, 1897; retired, 1900. Publication: “Malaria and Injuries of Spleen”.
