UR SOVERAINE LORD And the Eftaites of Parliament, ratifies, apprievis and confirmis the act of Parliament , maid be Queene Marie, Dowager of this Realme , in the moneth of Junij , the zeirofGod; ane thoufand, five hundredi, fiftie five zeires ; Intitulat, i^Anent the commoun pafiages to Bur- rowes: Be the quhilk it was ftamte, that all commoun hie-gates , that free Burrowes lies bene in ufe of , proceeding ather for pafiagefra their Burgh, or cumming thereto : Andinfpecial, all commoun hie-gates, fra free dry Burrowes, to the Portes and havens , nixt adjacent , or proceeding to them , be obferved and kceped -. And nane make them impediment or ftop diere-intill ; And gif onie dois , to be called and accufed for otjpreffion , and punimed therefore, according to the Lawes ; as in the faid aft at mair length is contained: Quhilk aft, with the haillclaufes and conditiones thereof, his Majeftie with advife forefaid , willis that the famin fail be halden , as exprefled herein : And to put to dew execution in all time hereafter , with thir addi- tiones following. H E I R F O R E his Majeftie with advife fore- faid, in corroboration of the faid former Aft, and to the effeft that the famin may be put to full execution in time cumming ; Statutis and ordainis that nane prefume , or take upon hand hereafter , to ftop, or impede the faids publick and common pafiages , perteining to the faidis free Burrowes , and namelie to the faidis Sea- portes.
