God speed the humble but pious scheme with the needed encouragement and co-operation of friends far and near! Content , for the present, is found in the ready reprint, that follows as the Introductory Sketch (roughly retouched and enlarged to be fairly up-to-date), of a brief old ‘study’ written for The Indian Messenger on the eve of the Master’s Presidentship of the Indian Theistic Conference in 1900.

To the good Maharajah Saheb of Pithapuram, C. B. E., the thanks of the heart are rendered for the aid of the purse in a cause equally dear on both sides.
