Then follows the bevy of Festival Hymns, of which three are —immortal

- Granted is the Saviour's prayer.
Besides some already published, the following translations by John Wesley are included :
- O Thou, who all things canst control.
- Jesu, whose glory's streaming rays.
- Into Thy gracious hands I fall..
- Commit thou all thy griefs.
- Monarch of all, with lowly fear.
- O God, what offering shall I give?
- Jesu, Thy boundless love to me.
- O God, of good the unfathomed sea.
- O God of God, in whom combine.
- Lo, God is here! let us adore.
- O Thou, whom sinners love, whose care.
- Eternal depth of love divine.
- Thee will I love, my strength, my tower.
- Come, Saviour Jesu, from above (from A. Bourignon).
Methodism had now found its sacred poet. We turn over the leaves of this volume, feeling that—
- The rock is smitten, and to future years
- Springs ever fresh the tide of holy tears
- And holy music, whispering peace
- Till time and sin together cease.
