Fourth Declension.

§ 25. The Nom. Sing. ends in -ŭs or -ū.

Gender.—Nouns in -ŭs are generally Masculine, with a few Feminine; those in -ū always Neuter.

Exx. portŭs (m.) harbour, base port-; vĕrū (n.) spit, base ver-.
