Samuel Johnes-Knight, M.A. rector of Welwrn 1797 1853, and for nearly 70 years vicar of AU HaUows, Barking, 1783, 1853, fellow of All Souls. Oxon. 1778, M.A. 1782, assumed the additional name of Johxes by R.L. 30 Sept. 1813; d. 8 July, 1853, aged 96, leaving an only child (see Shelley). (4) Eliza, m. 27 Jime, 1831, to Rev. Ralph Bemers, rector of Horkstead, Suffolk, youngest son of Yen. Henry Denny Bemers, archdeacon of Suffolk ; he d. , having had 3 sons and 3 daus. (5) G«orgiana, m. 1 Jan. 1835, to Rev. Stephen Croft, of St. Mary Stoke, Suffolk (BART.) SIR CHARLES, 2nd Baronet, major-gen. in the ai-mv, col. 69th regt.; b. 29 Jan. 1794; d. 23 Julv, 1862, having m. 6 Feb. 1823, Catherine Frances, dau. of Rev" Fitz"SVimam Halli- fax, rector of Richards Castle (and granddaii. of bishop of St. Asaph); she d. 18 Feb. 1877, having had with other issue 4 sons and 5 daus. (1) Sir Charles Henry Johnes, 3rd and present Baronet. (2) George Augiistus, col. Bengal s.c. late major Bengal anuv; b. 19 Jan. 1827. (3) Frederick Shellev, assistant priest of St. John's, Middles- borough ; b. 2 Aug. 1832 ; m. 31 Aug. 1871, Sarah Elizabeth, dau. of Thomas Stainforth, of Hackenthorpe, co. Derbj-, and had a son, Charles Halifax, d. young. (4) Arthur Cornelius, b. 7 Jan. 1848. (5) Emily Mary, m. 31 Jan. 1869, to Edward Freeman Gissing, Esq. son of Samuel Gissing, Esq. of Eye, Suffolk, s. p. (6) Constance Anne, m. 2 Feb. 18.')3, to John Rocke. Esq. of Clungunford House, Salop, J. P. and d.l. high sheriff 1869, lieut. late Salopian yeo. cav. and has a son and dau. John Charles Leveson ROCKE, b. 24 Sept. 1855.— Constance Ida.
