Ida Uinpage. Sir RICHARD SHUCKBURGH, knight of the shire for Warwicks. (descended from John Shuckburgh and his wife Joan, dau. of Adam Napton, of Napton, Warwicks. about 1400). He was attacked by the Parliament forces on Shuckburgh Hill, where he was found wounded, and carried away jirisoner, first to Northampton, and from thence to Kenilworth Castle, and after remaining there a considervble time was released on ijayment of a heavy ransom; d. 13 June, 1656, having m. 1st— 1627, Mary Cromptoii (widow), dau. of Raliili Sneyd, of Keele, co.
