The conclusion that animals have a counterpart formed from the substances of the spiritual world and reaching upward in the spiritual world as the body does in nature; or in other words, that they have souls which are correlatives or prototypes of their bodies, is forced upon us by the same reasons that demonstrate the existence of a soul in man.
