The purpose of living in the natural world may be confirmed from the results. The infant is not a man, though it has in it in an undeveloped form all the human degrees. Nor is one truly a man because he is grown to the fulness of stature. An infant becomes a man in the true sense in proportion to the development of all the degrees of his organization; so also a man becomes the image and likeness of God.
