NOTE
The fragments of charts (Charts A and B) are reproductions, on a slightly reduced scale, and omitting some confusing and irrelevant details, of British and German Admiralty Charts. Space prècludes the insertion of those bulky engravings in full; but the reader who wishes for fuller information is referred to Charts Nos. 406 and 407 of the British series, and to No. 64 of the German series.
The maps are necessarily on a very small scale; but can be supplemented by reference to standard publications.
