it had at least not allowed its heart to degenerate. The experience of so much bloodshed and ruin will bring back (but at what price?) its heedless mind to the right path. The stoutness of heart that France has never lost, the mental balance that she has found again, the contentment that victory will bring, will restore her old-time joyfulness. And with her joy she will find again her Music.
