Ichikawa Komazō II as Minase no Rokurō Munezumi, who was the companion of Hyōgonosuke in loyalty and sorrow, and who shared with him the guardianship of Nitta Yoshioki’s family and castle.
We have rephotographed from the Vignier-Inada Catalogue, number 312, as Rumpf rephotographed for his number 88. The present whereabouts of this print we do not know, nor have we been able to trace the only recorded duplicate, which is said to have been inscribed with the name of the actor. The coloring has not been described.
Hosoye. Yellow ground. Signed: Sharaku. If a corner of the print had not been torn away, the full signature Tōshūsai Sharaku presumably would be seen on it.
