Around the palace, which is two miles in circumference, is a great wall built of hewn ſtone, and defended with battlements, and a vaſt number of ſtrong towers, at a little diſtance from each other: It conſiſts of ſeveral courts, and the firſt of there belongs to the chief nobility, who frequently parade here, on their elephants, all the pride of Oriental grandeur.
