The distance was greater than he thought, and it was dark before he reached the foot of the mountain; indeed, he could not have found the road at all had it not been for the bright light, which shone like the moon on his path. At length he came to the door of a fine castle, which had a blaze streaming from every window. He

The man wears mail on his head and body to down to his wrists and up covering his chin. Over it he wears a small slightly pointed helmet with studs, banded leg plates, and a short over-tunic with rings sewn to it and short flowing sleeves. He has several belts strapped around and across him, one of which his sword is strapped to. The illustration is circle-shaped and there is no background but a bit of shadow.
