This again is followed by the stanza marked for erasure : — ' Who will exchange his own fireside For the steps of another's door? "Who will exchange his wheaten loaf For the links of a dungeon floor ? ' and the two deleted lines : — ' Who will exchange his own heart's blood For the drops of a Harlot's eye 1 ' 25-32 Fayette . . . floor] These stanzas were at first written in reversed order.
