by the King's Graces letters patents of divers offices of sheriffwicks within the King's dominions of Wales, contrary to the Commonwealth of the Country there; not only to the great unsuertie of the said towns and places above rehearsed but also to the great disquieting vexation and trouble of the King's loving and obedient subjects: For reformation whereof be it enacted ordained and established by the authority of this present parliament that all and singular such letters patents warrants and licenses heretofore granted or made by the King's Majesty to any person or persons as is aforesaid and every of them shall by the authority aforesaid from and after the first day of September next coming be clearly void frustrated and of none effect to all intents constructions and purposes; And also that all and singular grants of the reversion or reversions of any office or offices in the Towns above rehearsed and Marches of the same shall by the authority aforesaid be likewise void frustrated and of none effect to all intents and purposes.

Provided alway, that this Act, nor anything therein contained, shall not extend to any such manor, lordship, or dominion in Wales, or in the Marches of the same, whereof the inhabitants have used, time out of the mind of man, to pay unto every lord, or owner of such lordship, manor, or dominion, at his or their first entry into the same, any sum or sums of money, for the redemption and discharge of all duties, forfeitures and penalties, where with the said inhabitants were chargeable to any of their said lords, ancestors, or predecessors before his said entry.
