Title 3--The President Presidential Determination No. 2005-32 of August 17, 2005 Continuation of U.S. Drug Interdiction Assistance to the Government of Colombia Memorandum for the Secretary of State [and/the Secretary of Defense Pursuant to the authority vested in me by section 1012 of the National fense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1995, as amended (22 U.S.C. 229\177- 4), I hereby certify, with respect to Colombia, that (\177) interdiction of aircraft reasonably suspected to be primarily engaged in illicit drug trafficking in that country's airspace is necessary because of the extraordinary threat posed by illicit drug trafficking to the national security of that country; and (2) that country has appropriate procedures in place to protect against inno- cent loss of life in the air and on the ground in connection with such inter- diction, which shah at a minimum include effective means to identify and warn an aircraft before the use of force is directed against the aircraft. The Secretary of State is authorized and directed to publish this determina- tion in the Federal Register and to notify the Congress of this determina- tion. Presidential Determination No. 2005-33 of August 29, 2005 Waiving Prohibition on Use of FY 2005 Economic Support Funds with Respect to Jordan Memorandum for the Secretary of State Consistent with the authority vested in me by section 574 of the Foreign Operations, Export Financing, and Related Programs Appropriations Act, 2005 (the "Act"), Division D of Public Law \17708-447, I hereby: \337 Determine that it is important to the national security interests of the United States to waive, for a period of 6 months from the date of this determination, the prohibition of section 574(a) of the Act with respect to Jordan; and \337 Waive the prohibition with respect to this country for that period. You are authorized and directed to report this determination to the Con- gress, and to arrange for its publication in the Federal Register. GEORGE W.
