For collectors who wish to preserve specimens: Fill a glass bottle or fruit jar with water, putting in as much white salt as the water will dissolve. Then put in your animal and close tight. Some specimens will discolor the water at first and this requires a change of water after a few months. If not exposed to direct sunlight the specimen will hold its natural colors for years.
