SERVANT AND MASTER.

I HAD a page, a little page,
Who served me all the day,
Whose lute did sing my joyfulness,
And charm my griefs away.

I decked him with my riband blue,
And called him all mine own,
And thought with pride, " It will be good
When this my page is grown."

I had a knight, a dainty knight,
W T ho oftentimes rebelled,
And many a struggle sharp had we
Whose pride should first be quelled ;
