BAAL

Back roll the gates on their hinges of darkness, and backward
Fall all the vapours of blindness, and falsehood, and evil;
He who alone may touch pitch and yet fear no defilement,
He who was slain and is worthy, the Lamb, the Atonement,
Cometh in fulness of time to the spirits in prison :—
Awake, ye dead ! I make all things new ; let the night be ended.
The last one slain is Death, but he shall be slain ;
From henceforth there shall be no more curse: whoso will, come freely ;
The Spirit and Bride say Come, and let him that heareth say Come ;
For the Star of the morning is risen, the night is over and gone.
