Route number of primary route with names of and distances in miles to places of traffic importance to which it leads. The bracketed name and figures indicate a place which can be reached by a road which branches off the primary route and the distance in miles to that place.
Permitted Variant: On non-primary routes the legend and border shall be black and the background white
