D4.10.26 Lane subject to a temporary height restriction, with the height indicated in both metric and imperial units. The roundel is 900 mm in diameter. |f combined metric and imperial units symbols are used on a sign then all prohibitory roundels on the sign must be 900 mm in diameter.

WIDE LOADS

D4.10.31 On dual carriageway roads, and at other locations as appropriate, vehicles carrying wide loads may require special consideration at road works.

D4.10.32 Signs to diagram 7292 should be erected to instruct drivers of wide loads on action to be taken before reaching road works

ahead. These should be sited on the near side verge at 1 km and 2 km upstream of the last carriageway exit prior to the works from which there is a suitable wide loads diversion route.
