No. 6. PROTOCOL SIGNED AT GENEVA, ON 28 AUGUST 1946 BY REPRESENTATIVES OF THE UNITED NATIONS, THE LEAGUE OF NATIONS, AND THE UNITED NATIONS RELIEF AND REHABILITATION ADMINISTRATION

On 19 July 1946, Mr. Sean Lester, Secretary-General of the League of Nations, Mr. Wlodzimierz Moderow, Director representing the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Geneva, and Brigadier Cyrus Greenslade, Fifth Council Control Officer, for General Sir Humphrey Gale, Personal Representative of the Director-General of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration, signed in Geneva an Agreement[1] concerning Arrangements for the Holding of the fifth session of the Council of the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration at the Palais des Nations, Geneva (hereinafter referred to as “the Agreement”), on behalf of the League of Nations, the United Nations, and the United Nations Relief and Rehabilitation Administration (hereinafter referred to as “UNRRA”), respectively.

Preparatory arrangements for the holding of the fifth session of the Council of UNRRA (hereinafter referred to as “the Conference”) were begun at the Palais des Nations on 15 July 1946.

The Conference was held at the Palais des Nations from 5 August 1946 to 16 August 1946.

In connexion with the closing of the Conference on 16 August 1946, Mr. Sean Lester, Secretary-General, on behalf of the League of Nations, Mr. Wlodzimierz Moderow, Director representing the Secretary-General, on behalf of the United Nations, and General Sir Humphrey Gale, Personal Representative of the Director-General, on behalf of UNRRA, as the representatives of the parties to the above-mentioned Agreement of 19 July 1946, are desirous of making the following declaration:

Article I

Except for items listed in Schedule A to this Protocol, UNRRA left or returned in an undamaged state to the United Nations all premises,
