Public Law 100-117 100th Congress An Act To extend the period for waivers of State eligibility requirements to enable certain States to qualify for child abuse and neglect assistance.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, QUALIFICATIONS FOR CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT ASSISTANCE

1. Clause (i) of section 4(b)(3)(A) of the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (42 U.S.C. 5103(b)(3)(A)(i)) is amended by inserting before "or" at the end thereof the following: "and for a third one-year period if the Secretary makes an additional finding that such State is making substantial progress to achieve such compliance,".
