". TITLE VIII—NATIONAL INSTITUTE ON AGING SEC. 801. ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE REGISTRY. (a) IN GENERAL. —Section 12 of Public Law 99-158 (99 Stat. 885) is— 42 USC 285e-2 (1) transferred to subpart 5 of part C of title IV of the "°*^^ Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 285e et seq.); (2) redesignated as section 445G; and 42 USC 285e-9. (3) inserted after section 445F of such Act. (b) TECHNICAL AND CONFORMING AMENDMENTS. —Section 445G of the Public Health Service Act, as transferred and inserted by subsection (a) of this section, is amended— (1) by striking the section heading and all that follows through "may make a grant" in subsection (a) and inserting the following: "ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE REGISTRY "SEC. 445G. (a) IN GENERAL.— The Director of the Institute may make a grant"; and (2) by striking subsection (c). SEC. 802. AGING PROCESSES REGARDING WOMEN. Subpart 5 of part C of title IV of the Public Health Service Act, as amended by section 801 of this Act, is simended by adding at the end the following section: "AGING PROCESSES REGARDING WOMEN "SEC. 445H. The Director of the Institute, in addition to other 42 USC 285e-io. special functions specified in section 444 and in cooperation with the Directors of the other national research institutes and agencies of the National Institutes of Health, shall conduct research into the aging processes of women, with particular emphasis given to the effects of menopause and the physiological and behavioral changes occurring during the transition from pre- to post-menopause, and into the diagnosis, disorders, and complications related to aging and loss of ovarian hormones in women.". SEC. 803. AUTHORIZATION OF APPROPRIATIONS. Subpart 5 of part C of title IV of the Public Health Service Act, as amended by section 802 of this Act, is amended by adding at the end the following section:
