PUBLIC LAW 105-292—OCT. 27, 1998 112 STAT. 2787 Public Law 105- 105th Congress •292 An Act To express United States foreign policy with respect to, and to strengthen United States advocacy on behalf of, individuals persecuted in foreign countries on account of religion; to authorize United States actions in response to violations of religious freedom in foreign countries; to establish an Ambassador at Large for International Religious Freedom within the Department of State, a Commission on International Religious Freedom, and a Special Adviser on International Religious Freedom within the National Security Council; and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS. (a) SHORT TITLE. —This Act may be cited as the "International Religious Freedom Act of 1998". (b) TABLE OP CONTENTS. —The table of contents for this Act is as follows: Sec. 1.
