LAND CONVEYANCES, CERTAIN FORMER MINUTEMAN III ICBM FACILITIES IN NORTH DAKOTA. (a) CONVEYANCES AUTHORIZED.—(1) The Secretary of the Air Force may convey, without consideration, to the State Historical Society of North Dakota (in this section referred to as the "Historical Society") all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to parcels of real property, together with any improvements thereon, of the Minuteman III ICBM facilities of the former 321st Missile Group at Grand Forks Air Force Base, North Dakota, as follows: (A) The parcel consisting of the launch facility designated "November-33". (B) The parcel consisting of the missile alert facility and launch control center designated "Oscar-0". (2) The purpose of the conveyance of the facilities is to provide for the establishment of an historical site allowing for the preservation, protection, and interpretation of the facilities. (b) CONSULTATION.—The Secretary shall consult with the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Defense in order to ensure that the conveyances required by subsection (a) are carried out in accordance with applicable treaties. (c) HISTORICAL SITE.— The Secretary may, in cooperation with the Historical Society, enter into one or more cooperative agreements with appropriate public or private entities or individuals in order to provide for the establishment and maintenance of the historic site referred to in subsection (a)(2). (d) DESCRIPTION OF PROPERTY. —The exact acreage and legal description of the real property to be conveyed under subsection (a) shall be determined by survey satisfactory to the Secretary. The cost of the survey shall be borne by the Secretary. (e) ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS. — The Secretary may require such additional terms and conditions in connection with the conveyances under subsection (a) as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States. SEC. 2857. LAND CONVEYANCES, CHARLESTON AIR FORCE BASE, SOUTH CAROLINA. (a) CONVEYANCE TO STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA AUTHORIZED. — The Secretary of the Air Force may convey, without consideration, to the State of South Carolina (in this section referred to as the "State"), all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to a portion (as determined under subsection (c)) of the real property, including any improvements thereon, consisting of approximately 24 acres at Charleston Air Force Base, South Carolina, and comprising the Air Force Family Housing Annex. The purpose of the conveyance is to facilitate the Remount Road Project. (b) CONVEYANCE TO CITY OF NORTH CHARLESTON AUTHOR- IZED. —The Secretary may convey, without consideration, to the City of North Charleston, South Carolina (in this section referred to as the "City"), all right, title, and interest of the United States in and to a portion (as determined under subsection (c)) of the real property, including any improvements thereon, referred to in subsection (a). The purpose of the conveyance is to permit the use of the property by the City for municipal purposes.
