AUTHORIZ ATIO N AN D RE Q UEST F ORA W ARD OF DISTIN -G UISHED-SER V ICE CROSS TO WI L LIA M T. MILES ,J R., FOR ACTS OF VALOR DURING THE K OREAN WAR. (a) A U T H ORI Z ATIO N .—Notwithstanding the time limitations specified in section 3 744 of title 1 0 , United States Code, or any other time limitation with respect to the awarding of certain medals to persons who served in the Armed Forces, the Secretary of the Army is authori z ed and re q uested to award the Distinguished- Service Cross under section 3742 of such title to former Sergeant First Class William T. Miles, Jr., of the United States Army for the acts of valor during the K orean War described in subsection (b). (b) ACTS OF VALOR DESCRIBED.—The acts of valor referred to in subsection (a) are the actions of Sergeant First Class William T. Miles, Jr,. as a member of United States Special Forces from June 1 8 ,19 5 1, to July 6, 1951, during the Korean War, when he fought a delaying action against enemy forces in order to allow other members of his squad to escape an ambush. ESTA B LISHMENT OF ONLINE RESOURCES TO P ROVIDE INFORMATION ABOUT BENEFITS AND SERVICES AVAIL- ABLE TO MEMBERS OF THE ARMED FORCES AND THEIR FAMILIES. (a) I NTERNET O UTREACH WEBSITE.— (1) E STABLISH M ENT.—The Secretary of Defense shall estab- lish an Internet website or other online resources for the pur- pose of providing comprehensive information to members of the Armed Forces and their families about the benefits and services described in subsection (b) that are available to mem- bers of the Armed Forces and their families. (2) CONTACT INFORMATION.—The online resources shall pro- vide contact information, both telephone and e-mail, that a member of the Armed Forces or dependent of the member can use to get specific information about benefits and services that may be available for the member or dependent. (b) CO V ERED B ENEFITS AND SERVICES.—The information pro- vided through the online resources established pursuant to sub- section (a) shall include information regarding the following benefits and services that may be available to a member of the Armed Forces and dependents of the member

(1) Financial compensation, including financial counseling. (2) H ealth care and life insurance programs. (3) Death benefits. 10USC 1 78 1 note.
