(d) PAYMENTOFC O S TS OF CON V EYAN C E. — ( 1 ) PAYMENT R E QUI RE D .— T he Secretary sha l lre q uire the County to cover costs to b e incurred by the Secretary , or to reimburse the Secretary for costs incurred by the Secretary, to carry out the conveyance under subsection (a) and implement the receipt of in -k ind consideration under para g raph (b), including survey costs, appraisal costs, costs related to environ- mental documentation, and other administrative costs related to the conveyance and receipt of in-kind consideration. I f amounts are received from the County in advance of the Sec- retary incurring the actual costs, and the amount received e x ceeds the costs actually incurred by the Secretary under this section, the Secretary shall refund the excess amount to the County. ( 2 ) TREATMENT OF AMOUNTS RECEIVED.— A mounts received as reimbursements under paragraph (1) shall be credited to the fund or account that was used to cover the costs incurred by the Secretary in carrying out the conveyance and imple- menting the receipt of in-kind consideration. Amounts so cred- ited shall be merged with amounts in such fund or account and shall be available for the same purposes, and sub j ect to the same conditions and limitations, as amounts in such fund or account. (e) D ESCRI P TION OF R EA L PROPERTY.—The exact acreage and legal description of the real property to be conveyed under sub- section (a) shall be determined by a survey satisfactory to the Secretary. (f) ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS.—The Secretary may require such additional terms and conditions in connection with the conveyance under subsection (a) as the Secretary considers appropriate to protect the interests of the United States. (2) SECRETARY.—The term ‘‘Secretary’’ means the Secretary of the Interior, acting through the Director of the National Park Service. (b) STUDY.— (1) IN G ENERAL.—The Secretary may conduct a study of the Area to evaluate the national significance of the Area Det e rmina ti o n .Su r v e y . Determination.
